Strengthening Social Capital of Young Afghan Women for Advancing Peace
International Afghan Peace Advocacy Workshop
11 - 14 August 2023, Istanbul, Turkey
Objective: To prepare and coach core young Afghan advocate leaders in participatory planning of peace advocacy initiatives to increase young women's participation in peace deals and the socio-economic development of Afghanistan.
Participants: 25 young Afghan women from different countries.
Programme: The August 2023 Peace advocacy workshop is scheduled to run from 11 - 14 August and will bring together young Afghan women from neighbouring countries and other parts of the world. The structure of the workshop would allow the participants to prioritize critical issues for peace advocacy, prepare advocacy strategies, use effective tools, and develop action plans for implementation. There will be brainstorming sessions, small group mentoring sessions, interaction with peace practitioners and expert speakers, and processes for concretizing a solid network of peace advocates
